Updated

This notice explains how information is handled when you read ClickSyrup or contact the publication by email. ClickSyrup is the publisher of this website. For any privacy question or request, email [email protected].

Reading the website

ClickSyrup is a static publication. Its pages do not include analytics, advertising scripts, tracking pixels, social media widgets, embedded third-party media or reader accounts. The site does not ask you to register, and it has no newsletter and no on-site form.

When your browser requests a page, the server that hosts the website receives the technical information needed to deliver it, such as your IP address, the requested address, the time of the request and details sent by your browser. Hosting services commonly record such requests in server logs for operation and security. These records are kept by the hosting infrastructure, not by a tracking tool on the page.

Fonts, images, styles and scripts used by the pages are served from the ClickSyrup website itself. Site search runs in your browser with a file published as part of the site. If you use the search box, your search words appear in the page address and reach the server like any other page request; they are not sent to a separate search service.

Contacting ClickSyrup by email

Contact, corrections, advertising questions and privacy requests all use the email address above. If you write to the publication, it receives what you choose to include: your email address, your name if you give it, your message and any attachments. This information is used to read and answer your message, assess a correction or discuss a commercial inquiry. It is not used to add you to a mailing list.

Please do not send passwords, access tokens, payment details or other sensitive information. Email travels through the email services used by you and by the publication.

Articles link to sources, documentation and other websites. When you follow a link, the other website receives your request and its own privacy information applies. ClickSyrup does not add tracking codes to its editorial links.

Your requests

You can ask about information connected with an email you sent, or ask for that correspondence to be corrected or deleted, by writing to [email protected]. Depending on where you live, data protection law may give you further rights, including the right to complain to a supervisory authority.

Changes to this notice

This notice describes the website as it is currently built. If ClickSyrup adds a service that handles reader information, such as analytics, a newsletter or a contact form, this notice will be updated before that service is used. See also Cookies and site storage.
