Editorial policy

Updated

A useful article makes its evidence as clear as its conclusion. ClickSyrup covers website operations, discovery and revenue with that standard in mind. The following policy describes the publication’s editorial approach.

Sources and verification

We prefer original documentation, official announcements, program terms and other primary material. An announcement establishes what an organization said; it does not automatically establish performance, broad availability or independent results. Significant claims should be linked or attributed to the evidence that supports them.

Dates matter. We distinguish the date of an event from the date an article was published, and an announced rollout from an available feature. If evidence is incomplete, the limitation belongs beside the claim. We do not invent interviews, sources, traffic figures, test results or expert credentials.

What our formats mean

News explains a verified development and its practical implications. Guides organize supported advice around a reader’s decision. A documentation-based assessment is identified as such. Hands-on language is reserved for work actually performed and described. Hypothetical examples illustrate a method without suggesting that a real customer achieved the outcome.

AI assistance and translations

AI tools may assist with research organization, writing, translation and image creation. Claims still need evidence, and each content version requires owner review before publication. Generated images are used as conceptual editorial artwork, not as proof that an event occurred.

English is the source edition. The other language editions preserve the facts, limitations and source version while adapting the language naturally. A substantive source correction requires the corresponding translations to be reviewed as well.

Corrections and independence

Factual errors should be corrected in the affected article. Material corrections receive an explanatory note; substantive updates receive an accurate updated date after publication. Cosmetic edits should not make old reporting appear newly researched. The corrections policy explains the process.

Advertising and affiliate relationships must be disclosed. Paid placement does not buy an unsupported claim, and commission potential does not determine a factual conclusion. Relevant ownership or other conflicts should be stated clearly. Read the affiliate disclosure for how commercial links are handled.
